The book, ‘Innovationsfonds-Transfer in die Regelversorgung’, to which CANKADO has contributed, has been published recently

The book focuses on interim assessment, best practice examples and recommendations for action to promote and implement innovations in the German healthcare in a broader spectrum.  The book is available at medhochzwei-verlag. CANKADO’s CEO Prof. Dr. Timo Schinköthe and project manager Lena-Sophie Fink contributed chapter 6.1 describing innovation funding of digital health applications from an entrepreneur perspective‘.

The first innovation funded projects are completed and thus the necessity of whether and how successful projects can be transferred to standard care needs to be addressed. The here presented book even goes one step further than just evaluation innovation funding in the context of the german healthcare system. By the means of various best practice examples and innovation experiences from different perspectives, different approaches on funding, realizing and implementing innovation in the healthcare sector are discussed. The presented analysis aims to provide practicable recommendations for politics, the healthcare system and relevant actors through a multi-layered perspective on the potential for promoting innovation in the German health care system.
